Chuando Tan... The Dorian Gray of The Far East

Chuando Tan is a former Singaporean male model. But what is extraordinary
about him is that he is 51. Which is why so many Asian media outlets are all
repeating each other in saying that Chuando has defied the natural ageing
process. But then has he really?
With Chuando's healthy lifelong lifestyle along with his rejection of modern day vices
like smoking, drinking and unhealthy eating,
is he not proof that any of us can look good at that age assuming we set out on
a healthy lifestyle in our early days.
Admittedly Chuando has the advantage of a gym toned body, but facially most
people take him for someone in their thirties.

Apparently he was a successful male model in Singapore during the 1980's
and 1990's and when the news got out about his age earlier this year the story went
viral.

More on Chuando's story can be found at STRAITSTIMES SINGAPORE.

  1. Hmm, he is very nice, but I am a bit cynical. I've known some people who look very young for their age, including Asian people, but I really think this is stretching things.

  2. How quaint. Only in Singapore could a 51 year old gay guy be described in the local paper as a 'bachelor.' I wonder if he is living with a 'roommate?'
Andrew, don't be so cynical...we should look that good when we're his age. Oh wait....... - Ian

    1. Ian, I believe he set up a business with a partner, although not sure what kind of partner.
But heaps of praise for Chuando.
I remember seeing a picture of him at 39 when he set up his photography business. Looked really hot even then.

  3. Andrew, Oh I think I can go along with this story. After all he set out in his young days adopting a healthy lifestyle.
Interesting that he doesn't drink or smoke, drink coffee or tea or eat junk food. All the very things that your average 50 or 60 year old has indulged in since they were young.
I think it explains why your average 50 or 60 year old looks the way that they do. But if they look young and healthy we seem to treat them with suspicion.
