A SPRING ASIAN OVERLOAD

TOP IMAGE VIA CHUNVISION

IMAGES VIA THE CHUNVISION HOME GALLERIES

Above: This Asian stunner appears to be a complete one-off
as there was just the one image of him posted up on Timothy's Photos.

Tom Kiryu is a Cosplay artist and performer from The Bay area in San Francisco.
He also happens to be amazing looking with a slim and ripped body
due to his daily fitness regime, and a regime that involves excercising
rather than bulking up in order to maintain that ripped boyish torso.
And he would actually make a great pole dancer as he does a lot of
that on his back garden pole as you can see in several of his Youtube videos
and instagram gifs.
The one of him on the pole just wearing very small gold shorts is HOT!

And whenever there's a Cosplay Festival in town then Tom is sure to be there
showcasing those amazing abs while posing with his many admirers.
He also writes about the various Cosplay Conventions and events and is a
correspondent for the local Bay area.

He also likes to give hints and tips on how to live a healthy lifestyle
on his Youtube Channel.

It's clear that he absolutely loves dressing up and has done since he was little.
Apparently his Mother has always been into dressing up and is often to be
seen with Tom at many Cosplay Conventions.

I love watching Tom in this youtube video below, especially
when a Cosplay fan and admirer heaps a lot of praise on Tom's obvious

main attributes.
The video above of Tom is a eulogy to his amazing body as we see him being
covered and painted with glitter. But what really makes it for me is when at
4:45 secs into the video while standing around and posing, a cosplay fan and
admirer of Tom praises him for his looks. And the whole monologue becomes
quite hilarious, but it's oh so very true. It goes a little like this.............

"This man is the sexiest man you've ever seen. All the
gay boys will come after you. You look like you came
from the stars. Oh man you're so sexy, all the men will
bow down to you like you're some kind of God.
You look so sexy that all the men want to have sex
with you."

Above (right)  and below: Tom with red hair looking absolutely gorgeous in this behind
the scenes photo shoot by @fu-photography.

I can't help thinking that the guys in this photo shoot were
holding back a bit. You get the impression that they all wanted
to jump on Tom and ravage him on that bed.

I was pleased to receive these (above) images of Tom that were taken by
San Francisco photographer Biron. Apparently Biron attended The
Japantown Anime/Cosplay Festival in the Bay Area. And there was our
Tom wearing his big crazy hat.
Another Bay Area Festival fast approaching is The Japanese
Cherry Blossom Festival and so Tom and his cosplay friends
are sure to be there.

I was interested to receive this story from our friend Andrew at Highriser Blog concerning
the sad passing last year of Edward Chew, former editor of popular Asian magazine OG.

The magazine itself was quite a rarity back in the 1990's when caucasian models
dominated the magazine market. And just occasionally other magazines of the day
would push the boat out by featuring the occasional Asian model. And towards the
end of the 1990's and the demise of OG, others like HIS Magazine started to emerge
from out of the wood work.
But it was OG editor Edward Chew that initially lead the way and put the Asian male
models on the map. And perhaps he was responsible for the eventual deluge of Asian
male imagery that eventually emerged in recent times with Photoblue and Thai Attitude
even if most of them eventually produced their work digitally online.

Edward Chew's first few years running OG Magazine were tough. And after a while he
realized that he needed professional help if the magazine was to survive. So he drafted
in the help of our very own IAN WITHERS who just happens to be our main Asian
contributor here on this very blog as well as the former Beauty Hunter blog.

And it was Edward Chew that praised Ian for all his work by saying later...

"I owe Ian a very great debt of eternal gratitude.
His role as editor literally ensured OG's survival
for the next decade.
When he took over as editor, he brought to OG a
sheen and gloss to the content."

Whenever you look up images of Asian beauty Wilfred Wong, he's
often to be seen sporting his traditional crop hair style.
So I was surprised to see these pictures by Baldovino Barani
of Wilfred looking very much like a North American Indian
tribesman.
It's amazing how a long mane of hair can dramatically change
someone's appearance.
And most would be surprised to learn that he was actually
born and raised in Hong Kong.
But I am wondering if the long hair is perhaps a fashion prop.

Above: Maru performing with Changhyun a Live
acoustic version of 'Up.'
Watch on Youtube HERE.

I was pleased to see that pin up boy Maru from the disbanded C Clown K pop outfit
is back and making music again.
Joining Chae Changhyun as a hip hop duo they call themselves TREI.

What is extraordinary about Maru was that he joined C Clown at the unbelievable
age of 14 in 2012. In fact many couldn't believe he was so young as he was as

tall as the rest of the C Clown members.
He must have been the tallest boy in his School Class.

What was odd was why their Management pulled the plug out on the group in 2015.
The group had a very healthy global following and still do.
So all eyes are on Maru.

I was slightly surprised though to see that late last year he was seen slumming it
on K pop tv Talent Show 'Mixnine' a YG Entertainment  Idol Survival show,

a show with a bit of controversy as the actual winners were kept in the lurch
for months waiting for a contract with YG.

Maru's world must have come crashing down in 2015 when
C Clown was brought to an end by their management.
Lets hope that anyway he'll have some success with TREI.

TAEYUNG IS OFTEN CONSIDERED TO BE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL K POP ARTIST
AND IN 2017 HE WAS OFFICIALLY VOTED  AS HAVING THE BEST FACE
IN K POP.

IT'S HARDLY SURPRISING HOW REGULARLY HE FEATURES IN THE MENTIONED
TUMBLR BELOW... FAKE K POP IMAGES.

Here's a fun tumblr that features some of your favourite
k-pop stars wearing a little less than usual thanks to the
clever digital manipulation by someone called Yeddongwoon.

AND FINALLY......
Remember this model from a few years ago.
I think we called him our Asian Flower Boy.
It looks like he's been buffing up a bit.
And looks even better for it.

  1. I have had a quick look at your Asian collection but as its late afternoon here in Thailand, I'll go into it in depth later and probably comment again. As for OG, it's precursor in 1986 was Beautiful Oriental Guys and Where to Find Them (or something like that) which was a gay guide to cities like Singapore, KL, Bangkok, Manila, Hong Kong and Tokyo which I found more useful than lugging a Spartacus guide with me. I hope readers will click on to Edward Chew's obit in Dear Straight People and learn more about this pioneer of gay erotica. Even though he does exaggerate about me. - Ian

  2. Congrats on a magnificent overload selection of some of Asian's finest and a big thank you for all the effort you took to compile everything especially the giffs. The flower boy certainly improved himself 100% - I scarcely recognised him. From a twink to a hunk. I think Maru has also improved out of sight and has become quite a handsome young man. I don't care much for his singing voice but I can always turn the sound down. The Chunvision boys are a delight but unfortunately I've always had difficulty in getting their images to form on the CV page. I might get one or two out of a possible ten or so. Wilfred Wong had been fooled as I would have sworn he was native American. Finally thanks for the birthday wishes. Sweet Sixteen and never been kissed before. I can't even remember being 16 or much of the sixties. Now for our Easter bunny boys. - Ian

    1. Ian, Well this was after all your Birthday gift. It must have taken over a couple of weeks to put together.

Yes Flower boy does look more interesting. Looks like there's more to get hold of... for someone!

Maru is looking gorgeous. But I always thought he would return in a group with about four or five others. So it won't be easy for him to conquer the world of k pop as a duo. You imagine that he was kept under contract during his 3 year silence by his management company.
And watching some of the kpop tv shows this week I saw new rookie girl and boy groups with 13 and 14 members. That's insane and almost unheard of in Western pop. And the stories that rookie kpop groups get paid peanuts is probably true.

The Chunvision page can be touch and go.. Sometimes all the galleries show up then sometimes they don't. In fact on my phone they don't show up at all.

I think Wilfred Wong even fooled me. And being from Hong Kong it does prove how Asians are closely linked to the look of North American Indians.

Still I hope you enjoyed your Birthday meal. French food I believe you mentioned.

  3. I was warned about a big post.

Glitter boi Tom knows how to play for attention, but yes, he is very nice.

Yes, I have issue 17 of OG. I don't know why I have it, but having recently came across during the big clean out, I have kept it. It was a good mag. Do I like Asian guys? Yes, of course.

Alfred Wong is very nice, a bit different to the superficially attractive Asian guys.

The Viet Kevvy in Sydney is smoking hot, but he doesn't particularly look Vietnamese to me.

    1. Andrew, yes a big post indeed. I was worried that Blogger was going to send it to page 2 where it wouldn't get seen.

Glitter boi Tom is gorgeous. And with his obsession with Cosplay and comic heroes, he has such a lust for life.

So you have only one copy of O.G Magazine. I believe that Ian is lumbered with every single edition. Not a bad thing to have. I think I only owned about three editions at one time. Apparently photographer Biron did a cover shot and feature on a Japanese boy called Issey.

Wilfred Wong is very hot but I suspect you would prefer him with his usual tough looking crop haired look.

I think I recognized straight away that Viet Kevin was Vietnamese. They seem to have a certain individual look in the way that Thais look different to Korean guys.
So there's plenty there to look over.

Oh Andrew I read that the first ever non stop 17 hour flight from Australia to Heathrow took place over the weekend.
Probably the shape of things to come. But gee, 17 hours stuck on a flight!

  5. Dee, the Asian Overload was hot from top to bottom, but naturally my absolute favorite was Glitter Boy Tom. He blew me away with his total sexiness. I would NOT be able to resist. I loved how the glitter artist knew just how to accentuate his look. I love how she gave him a glitter treasure trail! The glitter made me think of a co-worker of mine who is a glitter fanatic. Her husband used to look rock-star fantastic (and in fact he still even had a band), but now he is old, fat, and worst of all (to him), balding. I'd love to show her this (but I won't) and say, "Maybe if you glittered Charlie up and photographed him, he'd start to feel better about himself again." She'd love playing with the glitter. Well, I'm dreaming with that, but her husband is a nice guy and has a good talent...and his wife sure does love glitter!

You wrote about Tom in that silly scene on the bed and you said it seemed as if the other boys were just waiting for the opportunity ravage him. Well you know, they probably DID! Your idea made me think of a friend of mine who had a very well trained dog, named Annie. He'd give her an order to STAY in some spot and she would do exactly what she was ordered to do. When he wanted to release her, he'd say, "Annie, FREE!" and she'd then go back to doing whatever she wanted to. So I Imagine after the photographer was finished with the shoot of them, he said, "Guys, FREE!" and then just released, they went to town on him. A body like that has to be ravaged; to me (or at least to the me of 40 years ago), if they looked that good, their beauty already had a a built-in consent in it. I mean, you HAVE to have sex with them, there is no other option! Maybe that's how it was for all those poor Hollywood executives who are now so soundly vilified for their treatment of the starlets. I can image them saying the same thing, "Well, when they look like that you HAVE to ravage them. That's what they are made for!" I am sure that a casual reaching over and folding their boobs or spanking their bottoms was so much "Well, of COURSE, that is to be expected!" Maybe I used to be just a pervert, I don't know, but in THOSE much freer days (especially pre-AIDS), NOBODY complained about the assumption of sex. Both gay and straight life was so glorious back then in the 60s and 70s!

  6. Tom, I absolutely loved our Tom Kiryu the first time I saw him in pictures and videos. Isn't it odd how you can almost get emotionally attached to someone you'll only ever see in images and videos without being stalkish in some way. Although of course if one lived in San Francisco then there's a chance you might bump into him at one of those festivals.

I always thought you you needed to physically meet someone in the flesh to have feelings for a certain individual. Maybe that's not so true as I find Cosplay Tom incredibly sexy and alluring. He also has such a strong lifeforce and great youthful energy. And what with his sheer beauty, how can you not be drawn to him.
How could anyone resist his charms if you were thrown onto a bed with him for a photo shoot.

Perhaps that's what celebrity and people worship is all about, and the idea that they are untouchable, and probably unapproachable... look at me but don't touch, which makes them even more alluring.

I'm surprised that Tom isn't getting a better response on his Patreon page as I know he mentioned he's been struggling with finances even though he has a little job working during the week.
I also imagine he'd rather spend his last few dollars on another costume outfit rather than a wholesome big meal.

Being that we're now in the Harvey Weinstein backlash era, I think it was Bridget Bardot that came forward recently to almost defend the then perverted Producers and Directors of the day, saying that the casting couch days back then was all part of Hollywood. At least I think that's what she was trying to say. Perhaps like Marilyn Monroe, Bardot clearly found it to be the only way to get ahead in the movie industry and wasn't embarrassed by it at all.
