Bloggy the Beefeater!

So I managed to get hold of a new outfit for Bloggy. And something to add to his
growing collection of costumes. I can't remember who suggested it but one of
our readers said that they'd like to see Bloggy all decked out in a Beefeater
Yeoman of the Guard outfit, the uniform of the Guards at The Tower of London.

And being such a crisp clear day it was the perfect opportunity to use The Tower
and Bridge as the perfect backdrop for a few pictures on Wednesday morning,
the very day just before our Covid National Lockdown which starts today (Thurs 5th).

Unfortunately the grounds of The Tower were sealed off to the public due to the
current pandemic and only pre-booked ticket holders were being let in for tours
of the grounds, which was slightly disappointing as I was hoping to get some
pictures of the real Yeoman Beefeaters.

But The Tower of London is a fascinating as well as historical fortress. It's hard
to believe that the central White Tower was first constructed in 1066 soon after the
Battle of Hastings. But of course the nearby Tower Bridge is not quite so old.
That was built and completed in 1886.

  1. That is one beautiful day. My little jungle area has entered Big Balls Day season. When the weather is just right and the humidity is at the right point to make one's balls appear extra large. All the old people have migrated south. Roost till April. Old men with pale bluish skin sit on the beaches with their legs wide open. Big Ball Days are here.

    1. Neil, Yes a perfectly bright crisp day and perfect for picture taking.
But a slap on the wrist for all your local Floridan Latinos that voted the wrong way.
      What were they thinking?

  2. The Latino community is diverse. The Trump supporters are Cubans and Venezuelans. Cubans came here from Communist Cuba they were invited to come here. Venezuela was controlled by Chavez's dictatorship. No friend of the USA. His people were also invited. No immigration restrictions. Everyone else has to wait in line or told to fuck off. Mexicans have to wait ten years to get in. Cubans or Venezuelans? Oh please come this way. Welcome, no questions asked. Do you want a cookie or maybe a small business loan?
See the difference? They are also Republican minded people. Don't like immigrants or illegals. Very racist, against anyone darker-skinned than they are. They like the Wall.

    1. Interesting. I suppose that outsiders would imagine that Latinos would have taken sides with the Mexicans and shared their dislike of Trump.
