No 14 From My All Time Favourite 90's Dance Classics

Here's an absolute cracker from 1994 featuring Judy Cheeks with 'Reach.' It was released again

in 1996 with some updated and popular remixes.

Sadly Judy passed away in 2005 at the age of 71. But what memories she has left us with her music.

N0 19 Of My All Time Favourite 90's Dance Classics

So for my second choice of classic Dance tracks from the glorious days of Dance and House

Music I've chosen that classic 1995 tune 'Respect' by Judy Cheeks.

In fact it's the first of two classics by Judy Cheeks that will appear here. And I think when I

first attempted my top 20 list on a previous blog, I got to about No 10. So hopefully we might

complete this list in full this time.

Danny Rampling....He'll Lift You Up

I was pleased to stumble across this video a while back. It was put out by the people who

run Jacfest Dance Promotions.

And this particular video was put out during the Lockdown when many Clubs were closed

making life difficult for deejays to make a living. And one deejay that campaigned to

the government for assistance was legendary 90's deejay Danny Rampling.

And so here he is appearing alongside other Jacfest deejays during a Live stream with only

an online audience, featuring Danny, Alex P and Hutch.

And having seen Danny perform at Finsbury Park and Brockwell Park alongside Judge Jools

back in the 90's heyday, I can't ever recall seeing him so excited and animated. The Lockdowns

greatly affected him but I believe this was the first time that he got back out and back on the

decks after being cooped up at home.

And yet Danny just seemes to have the knack to lift your spirits with his uplifting sounds, as

can be heard in this Jacfest video where he appears during the first 30 minutes.

It's A Love Hangover

I do have quite an obsession with Diana Ross's 1976 hit Love Hangover. Mainly because

there are countless new remixes produced by some of the best deejays out there, including

this one by British deejay Joey Negro now known as Dave Lee.

And the added attraction of this video is watching this happy group of Washington DC

Street Dancers in what looks like a one take shot video. But I definitely saw a video

edit at 2:35.

Amazingly Motown icon Diana Ross turned 80 last year in 2024 and has already planned a new

U.S Tour called 'Celebrating Timeless Classics Tour 2025. More info on that tour below.
